1. Client-Side Zero-Knowledge Architecture
Traditional mobile fertility applications and web calculators transmit sensitive personal dates (such as last menstrual period, cycle regularity, and intercourse timing) to remote backend servers for processing and storage.
Free Ovulation Tracker operates completely differently:
- Local Execution: When you enter your last menstrual period (LMP), cycle length, or luteal phase, the mathematical and clinical algorithms execute in your browser’s isolated client JavaScript runtime.
- No Network Transmission: At no point during the calculation is this biological data packaged, transmitted, or logged via HTTP/HTTPS POST or GET requests to our servers or any third parties.
- Instant Memory Clearance: Closing or refreshing your browser tab immediately flushes all active calculation variables from temporary client RAM memory.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
In adherence to medical privacy standards and data minimization guidelines, we strictly refrain from collecting or requesting:
We do not collect names, home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or government identification.
We do not store your period dates, ovulation logs, basal temperatures, pregnancy test outcomes, or sexual activity records.
There are no logins, passwords, social media single sign-ons (SSO), or user profiles on this platform.
We do not track precise geolocation, GPS coordinates, or mobile beacon identifiers.
3. Technical & Operational Web Logs
Like all standard web servers and content delivery networks (CDNs), our hosting infrastructure automatically receives baseline network transmission data necessary to deliver web pages to your browser (such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamp).
These technical logs are used exclusively for:
- Protecting against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and malicious bots.
- Ensuring server uptime and routing static assets through globally distributed edge servers.
- Monitoring aggregated bandwidth and caching efficiency.
Server access logs are rotated and deleted automatically. They are never joined, cross-referenced, or associated with any reproductive calculator inputs.

5. Calendar Export (.ICS & Web Links) Privacy
When you use our "Export to Google Calendar", "Apple Calendar (.ics)", or "Outlook" features:
- Local File Generation: The standard iCalendar (`.ics`) file is generated in your browser using a client-side Blob (`URL.createObjectURL`). The file is downloaded directly to your computer or phone without ever touching our servers.
- Google Calendar Link: When using the Google Calendar web link, the parameters (event title, date, notes) are formatted as a direct URL to Google’s web interface. We never see or store the dates you export.
6. Global Privacy Compliance (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA Alignment)
We architected our platform to voluntarily adhere to the world’s strictest data protection standards:
Article 9 of the GDPR classifies health and reproductive data as "Special Category Data," prohibiting processing without explicit consent. By never processing or collecting your data on our servers, we uphold the highest standard of privacy by design (Article 25).
Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. Because we retain zero identifiable records, there is no personal data to delete or retrieve.
